The previous BIM (Building Information Modeling) conference have presented about BIM in general, BIM lifecycle, BIM Tools and different workflows in ARCHICAD, 4D and 5D BIM in building project design, estimation, scheduling, execution and maintenance management and also have shown numerous examples of our local clients/partners how they benefit from developing, designing, building, and operating buildings and infrastructure in BIM.

This sharpens the question which BIM-based practices are most important to keep the company’s contributions relevant for its customers in the face of changing technologies, building requirements, management and contract practices, and business models. BIM Conference will present how companies are deepening the use of BIM through design, construction, and facility management and creating standard best practices that are applied on all their projects. BIM Conference will also offer a serious look at emerging technologies like reality and augmented reality.

This Conference will present the best practices for BIM Workflow (Building Information Modelling) to model, document, manage and collaborate on a team project. All presentation activities are based on simulation of a real project, starting with understanding of the BIM Concept, using predefined BIM Template in Albanian version, and the five project stages which follow (Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documentation and BoQ (Bill of Quantity)

You will learn how to establish BIM as a new platform for design, construction, and facility operations and maintenance so that your organization will be prepared to adopt the emerging innovative practices that are most relevant for you.

• Pre-Design | Surveyors Data merged, Initial design intend, Design simulation for the building envelop with Mass study options, Programming, Design Options

• Schematic Design | Provide initial design for building systems, structural and MEP. Identify initial coordination problems between building structure, systems, assembles and other components, Interoperability, Quality Assurance, Model Coordination

• Design Development | Final design of the building including building systems, assemblies and components to be specified. Model Coordination, Model Changes, Collision Detection Checking, Intersection Issues, Documentation Management, Schedules, Quality Assurance.

• Construction Documentation | Finalize design of the building, prepare Construction Documents and specifications. Quality Assurance, Specific Quantity take-off information or BoQ (Bill of Quantity).

TARGET AUDIENCE

The material presented is relevant for public and private owners, operators, developers, designers, general contractors, and trade contractors of industrial, commercial, infrastructure, institutional, and residential projects. Project leaders and key management personnel will use their gained knowledge from the conference in order to improve their organization’s BIM and Lean Construction strategy.

All delegates completing the conference will be given a “Certificate of Attendance” endorsed by archiEDU, GRAPHISOFT local partner. Presentations, photos and conference videos will be available to download from the website shortly after the conference ends.
